Responsible AI use
AI can help generate, challenge, confirm, summarize, or extend an idea. It does not replace the employee's judgment or responsibility for the result.
Expectations
- Use only company-approved tools and follow applicable data-handling rules.
- Do not place confidential, personal, customer, or restricted information in a tool unless that use has been explicitly approved.
- Verify factual claims, calculations, citations, and generated code before use.
- Understand the material well enough to explain, maintain, and defend it.
- Test generated code and review it for security, correctness, maintainability, and consistency with the existing system.
- Disclose material AI assistance when it affects review, trust, or provenance.
- Keep the person affected by an AI-assisted decision informed and in control.
If an output is uncertain or consequential, slow down, obtain the relevant expert review, and make the final decision traceable.
