Manual stewardship

The Employee Manual is a shared product. It should become simpler, clearer, and more trustworthy as Naologic learns.

Every page should identify:

  • whether it is a principle, working agreement, policy, process, or reference;
  • the role or function accountable for its accuracy;
  • the authoritative source for details it summarizes; and
  • any approval still required before people rely on it as policy.

Making a change

  1. Confirm the affected people and the problem the change should solve.
  2. Check the Mantra and any authoritative employment or security requirements.
  3. Involve the page owner and relevant subject-matter experts.
  4. Write the smallest clear change and explain its consequences.
  5. Review links, contradictions, accessibility, and jurisdictional impact.
  6. Record material policy changes and communicate them to affected employees.

Retire stale pages instead of leaving competing instructions available. A short manual people trust is more useful than a comprehensive manual they cannot navigate or rely on.
