Learning and mentorship

Learning is continuous. Technical learning helps complete today's work; curiosity and reflection expand what we can make possible tomorrow.

Expectations

  • Ask questions when a practice or decision contradicts your current model.
  • Seek feedback from people with relevant expertise and different perspectives.
  • Turn mistakes and unexpected results into documented learning.
  • Teach what you know through examples, review, pairing, documentation, or mentorship.
  • Ask for mentorship when focused guidance would accelerate your growth.

Mentorship is a working relationship with a purpose, a realistic cadence, and shared responsibility. The learner prepares questions and applies feedback; the mentor provides context, challenge, and space to practice rather than taking over the work.

The test

Did learning make the work better and leave another person or team more capable?
